snow, snow, snow...

We had major amounts of snow today! All day long. My boy and I shoveled our driveway as well as three of our neighbors driveways, 2 times each. I finished up all of my Christmas shopping this morning. Little Miss and I went early before the snow started and before the crowds were out. We had such fun. When we got home 2 hours later there was 6-8 inches of snow in our driveway and we had to shovel to get in. (I am really bad at driving in the snow.) The rest of the day I stayed in and did some house cleaning. I fixed some yummy Potato Soup for our dinner because My Hero called from work and said he thought he was coming down with the flu. We are paranoid about Lucy Lu getting sick and so My Hero brought a mask home from work and is staying away from all the Munchkins. It's not hard to do because he is watching Monday Night Football and they avoid it like the plague. All the Munchkins have strict orders to wash their hands constantly and not touch anything Daddy has touched.
Master and Lucy Lu bundled up and went sledding. We enjoyed some picture taking. I wish I were better at that. The Munchkins enjoy it, though, and always want to see the picture right away on the little screen. It's funny how kids now are so used to everything coming quickly. When I was younger you didn't see the picture right after it was taken. It took a while. Sometimes months or even years! Depending on if Mom and Dad had the money to develop film.Master thought this was a snow jungle and had to have his picture taken inside. And what Master does...

...Lucy Lu does!
Anyway, it was a beautiful day. Just what the 22nd of December should be like. Snowy, cold outside, warm inside, hot cocoa after sledding and shoveling, BOILING potato soup, and a little housecleaning in preparation for Christmas Eve and Day. My Hero getting sick! Now, that I can live without! You still can't see the mountains!
